Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte paid a visit to President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. in Malacañang on Wednesday, August 3.
In a brief statement, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil said Duterte told Marcos about his recent trip to China where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
"They also discussed other issues," she added.
The former President also parted some "good pieces of advice" to the Chief Executive, according to Garafil.
The PCO posted a short video wherein Marcos was seen warmly welcoming Duterte into the Palace.
Present during the arrival are Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Senator Christopher 'Bong' Go, and other government officials.
In mid-July, Duterte flew to China and met China's President Xi Jinping.
Jinping earlier told the former President to continue to promote cooperation between the Philippines and China.
