Former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has officially filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for the mayoral post in Davao City.
"Pormal nang inihain ni dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang kanyang Certificate of Candidacy sa pagka-alkade sa lungsod ng Davao, ngayong Lunes, October 7," Senator Bong Go announced through his Facebook post.
Before running for president and winning in 2016, Duterte had served as the longtime mayor of Davao City.
His son, incumbent Mayor Sebastian Duterte, will be his running mate as vice mayor.
Paolo Duterte, the former president's eldest son, has also filed his COC to seek reelection as the first district representative of Davao City. His other son, Omar Duterte, has filed his COC for the second district representative seat.
The former president's grandson, Rigo Duterte, is running for councilor of Davao City's first district under the Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod-Hugpong ng Pagbabago banner.
