Former Press Secretary Beatrix 'Trixie' Cruz-Angeles denied that she was the one who wrote the pleadings in a case that were deemed by the Supreme Court (SC) as "intemperate language".

Cruz-Angeles issued the statement shortly after the SC imposed a 6-month suspension against her for being guilty of a violation of Rule 8.01, Canon 8 of the Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability (CPRA).

Gagamitin namin ang lahat na available remedies upang madinig kami ng buong-buo ng Korte Suprema," she said in a video.

The former Press Secretary extended her gratitude to the people who supported and consoled her through their messages.

But she asked her supporters to maintain their respect for the higher court.

We respect the rule of law and respect the process of the court," Cruz-Angeles added.

In October, she tendered her resignation as Press Secretary due to medical reasons.
