Former First Lady Imelda Marcos has been confined to a hospital due to "suspected pneumonia", Senator Imee Marcos confirmed on Tuesday, March 5.
In a message obtained by DZRH News, Imee said they sent her mother to the hospital to closely monitor her health considering her age.
"Suspected pneumonia as she has been having fever [a]n[d] cough on [a]n[d] off. Given her age, we hav[e] [to] take max[imum] precautions," she said.
"No in[-]ospital na namin [for] close monitoring," the senator added.

The former first lady is now 94 years old.
Further details about the hospitalization were not disclosed.
