After being confined to the hospital due to pneumonia, former first lady Imelda Marcos will be discharged from the hospital on Tuesday, according to Senator Imee Marcos on Monday.
In a radio interview, Imee mentioned that they are expecting the Marcos matriarch to be out of the hospital as she no longer has a fever but still has pneumonia.
The senator said that the former first lady was rushed to the hospital due to suspected pneumonia, while President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. gave an update late last week that their mother is already recovering and feeling much better.
In a social media post, President Marcos shared the news with everyone that Imelda is already recovering, adding that when he visited her after arriving from Melbourne, Australia, his mother was awake and alert.
“In consultation with her medical team, it has been confirmed that her fever is gradually subsiding and she is on the path to recovery,” said the President in his post.
