Former Ako Bicol Representative Zaldy Co is reportedly suspected of traveling using an alternate passport, according to Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
This suspicion arises as Co remains outside the country amid ongoing investigations into the controversial flood control project.
Records from the Bureau of Immigration indicate that Co left the Philippines for Singapore on August 6.
“We believe he is travelling under another passport. We do not know if he is using another name, so iveverify pa namin,” Remulla said during a press conference on Monday, November 24.
He added that a Blue Notice has already been issued, and once Co’s arrest warrant is fully in effect, a Red Notice may also be requested to help determine his exact location.
Remulla emphasized that authorities are currently acting on the suspicion that Co might be using a different passport to evade the law.
