Princess Marcial, wife of Filipino Olympian Eumir Marcial, took to social media to expose the struggles in their marriage, detailing allegations of infidelity and abuse.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Princess Marcia revealed that recent events in her personal life, particularly issues in her marriage with Eumir Marcial, have taken a significant toll on her mental and emotional well-being, much of which she had kept private.
The wife then revealed that she caught Eumir having an affair in October 2024, when she and her sister personally found him with another woman inside an Airbnb condominium in Pasay.
Following the incident, both the boxer and the alleged mistress were arrested and detained for five days.
"Despite some of my family’s strong disapproval, I still gave Eumir multiple chances to make amends with our marriage, putting into consideration all that we have gone through and the difficult things we have survived as a couple," Princess Marcial stated.
Princess stated that she felt it was her responsibility to forgive her husband, so she signed an affidavit of desistance to allow his release. Meanwhile, his mistress signed a compromise agreement, believing Eumir would use this opportunity to correct his mistakes and improve.
"Little did I know that what started as a small act quickly grew to a sickening love affair with his young mistress from his hometown in Zamboanga City," said Princess.
She also mentioned that she maintained contact with some of their trusted mutual friends in Zamboanga City, who revealed that Eumir and his mistress had decided to live together.
Furthermore, she alleged that Eumir withdrew all their savings and used the money to build a house for himself and his mistress in Zamboanga.
"Unfortunately for legal reasons, we cannot release any of the evidence we have gathered to the public but they will be submitted instead to the court who we will let decide about the outcome of the case," Princess Marcial explained.
"For these obvious reasons, I had to go on separate ways with Eumir and severed all sources of communication with him after all the trauma, manipulation, emotional stress, physical abuse, and psychological torment that I had to endure these past few months and throughout our years of being together," she added.
Princess also served as the Olympian's brand manager, stating that she sacrificed her career to help build his.
She also revealed that she received direct threats from Eumir, claiming he would ensure she could never return to America or receive anything from their separation.
Moreover, Princess explained that a major reason for sharing the details publicly is her concern for her safety, the safety of her family, and the potential witnesses in the case against Eumir.
"It is not a secret that Eumir, being a well-recognized athlete, has also gained support and protection from his connections who are very much capable of influencing the outcome of this case," Princess said.
"They may also try to fabricate lies to fit their narrative and potentially discredit my experience, but I urge you to focus on the facts and based your judgement on the evidence we have at hand," she added.
Eumir's wife stated that their marriage means a great deal to her, as she believes it is a divine blessing and the foundation of every family.
"I’ll leave it up to God’s hands to see that true and righteous justice be served to Eumir and his mistress," she further stated.
In closing, she appealed for everyone’s prayers for her family’s healing and safety throughout the process.
Eumir Marcial won a bronze medal in boxing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and recently competed in the Paris Olympics, where he fell short of securing a medal.
The boxer has not yet publicly responded to his wife’s allegations.
