The House Committee on Ethics and Privileges will convene next week to resume the discussion on Negros Oriental 3rd District Rep. Arnolfo 'Arnie' Teves' failure to return to duties despite his approved travel clearance has expired.
The face-to-face hearing is scheduled at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 20.

Last Wednesday, the panel agreed to acquire the jurisdiction over Teves' expired travel authority.
COOP-NATCO Party-list Rep. Felimon Espares, chairman of the committee, said they gave five days for the Negros Congressman to explain his prolonged absence from duties.
The travel permit granted by the House of Representatives to Teves for his personal trip to America has expired last March 9.
He then sought another two-month leave of absence.
Teves is facing murder charges in connection to the 2019 Negros Oriental killings, and he is being tagged as the alleged mastermind behind the murder of former Negros Oriental governor Roel Degamo.
Earlier, House Speaker Martin Romualdez said Teves refused to come home due to fear of his and his family's safety.
