Event organizer Epic Events released a statement through its Facebook page following the controversy surrounding the sudden changes of host for South Korean actor and singer Seo In Guk’s fan meeting in Manila last August 12.

On August 15, singer and actress Kristel Fulgar released a new episode for her vlog, explaining the reason behind the last-minute changes of host for the event and sharing moments with the Korean actor whom she admired for 11 years.

The Los Angeles-based organizer shared Fulgar’s uploaded video on Facebook and took the opportunity to explain their side for the fans to understand.

In its caption, Epic Events commended the 28-year-old actress’ kindness and professionalism despite the "unforeseen circumstances" under which she was replaced by DJ Karen Bordador to host the event.

According to the promoter, it "exhausted all efforts" to have her as part of the program and pushed to have Fulgar perform one duet performance with Seo In Guk for the sake of the fans.

It expressed its gratitude to Fulgar’s family as well for being the "nicest" people and for showing love and respect even after the unexpected changes.

In her vlog, Fulgar explained that the "Korean technical director" decided to replace her may be due to a "lack of energy," and the actress explained that she is not used to giving her full energy during rehearsals.

Admitting that hosting is not part of her expertise, Fulgar emotionally said that she accepted to host the fan meet not just for herself but also for the fans who have been waiting to see her reaction when she finally meets Seo In Guk on stage.

She then apologized to the fans who expected it and thanked them for their full support.

Despite not being able to host the event, Fulgar still fulfilled her fangirling dream as she was allowed to meet her idol one-on-one.

The two took several photos and even had a duet of Seo In Guk’s original soundtrack for his drama "Reply 1997," entitled "All For You.
