With Slim Shady’s death and reinvention, Eminem is taking on a new role in his life as a grandfather.
On Thursday, October 3, the American Rapper uploaded the music video for ‘Temporary’, featuring Skylar Grey. The music video flashed home videos of his eldest daughter Hailie from when she was young, juxtaposing clips from her childhood and on her wedding day.
The song was a dedication to Hailie, for when the rapper is no longer by the former’s side. Heartwarming lyrics accompanied montages from her childhood and times with Eminem.
However, what initially looked like a music video dedicated to Hailie, suddenly took a turn of events.
In the music video’s 4-minute mark, Eminem was given a blue shirt with the word ‘grandpa’ written on the back. The rapper was stunned to see the big news in a sweater and sonogram. Although the rapper was speechless with the announcement, Hailie smiled and laughed the whole time.
Hailie and her husband Evan McClintock, got married in May this year, but have been together since 2016. On Thursday, Hailie shared photos on Instagram, showing the sonogram with her husband.
