The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters continue to crack the whip against players who participated in 'ligang labas' games
The Elasto Painters slapped a fine on Rey Nambatac for breaching his PBA Uniform Players' Contract by participating in an exhibition game.
"A fine of two (2) days worth of salary has been imposed on Rey," the management of the PBA team said on Wednesday, April 26, in a Facebook post.
The fine came after PBA deputy commissioner Eric Castro identified Nambatac as among the players summoned by league commissioner Willie Marcial for participating in an exhibition game in Cebu without permission from their mother teams.
Aside from Nambatac, Castro also named Beau Belga of the Elasto Painters, JR Quinahan of the NLEX Road Warriors, Jio Jalalon of the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, and Robert Bolick of the Northport Batang Pier.
The Elasto Painters earlier slapped Belga with a six-day suspension without pay, and a fine of 15 days worth of salary.
Rain or Shine said that the 36-year old big man played in exhibition games not only in Cebu but also in Davao and Laguna.
