The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) have announced the highly anticipated second season of eFIBA, the prestigious national team tournament on NBA 2K24.

As the premier destination for international 2K basketball, this competition provides National Federations with a definitive esports circuit to showcase their skills and vie for the title of the top nation on NBA 2K.

Set to kick off this fall, elite NBA 2K players from around the globe will represent their respective countries in eFIBA Season 2.

Just like the inaugural season, the tournament will be played on PlayStation 5, featuring an intense 5v5 format on the ProAM game mode in NBA 2K24. This allows players to compete as organized squads, controlling their own in-game avatars on the virtual court.

Starting in October, eFIBA Season 2 will consist of online Regional Qualifiers and Regional Finals across the four FIBA Regions: Africa, America, Asia (including Oceania), and Europe.

The top two nations from each Regional Final will advance to the groundbreaking eFIBA World Finals 2023, which will take place later this year and determine the world's ultimate national eFIBA team.

The full lineup for eFIBA Season 2 and additional details about the highly anticipated eFIBA World Finals 2023 will be unveiled at a later date.

The first season of eFIBA earlier this year entertained the esports community with fierce online competitions, as over 30 nations battled for the coveted title of the top national NBA 2K team in each of the six conferences.

Season 1 witnessed 30 teams from various subregions, including Brazil, Morocco, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, emerge as conference winners.
