Palawan 3rd District Rep. Edward Hagedorn has passed away at tha age of 76.
The sadden news was confirmed by the Congressman's office on early Tuesday morning, Oct. 3.
"On behalf of Cong. Ed, his family, staff and closest kin – we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your love and support, for joining us in celebrating his wonderful life, and most importantly...for being witnesses to the remarkable journey he lived with such zest," it added.
The Congressman's office said his family have yet discussed other details and public service arrangements.
"We promise to keep you informed as soon as we finalize the details. In the meantime, please keep Cong. Ed’s wife and children in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate through this time of sorrow," it furthered.
Hagedorn's leadership was directed towards establishing a harmony between the environment and development.
He was a former mayor of the City of Puerto Princesa. During his term, he was credited for establishing a model of eco-tourism for the country.
