According to the Manila Police District (MPD), some devotees arrived as early as last night, gathering in areas around Quiapo, particularly along Villalobos Street, Carriedo, and Carlos Palanca Street, to prepare for the Catholic Church’s special activity.
Most of the attendees traveled from various cities in Metro Manila and nearby provinces, often accompanied by family and friends who share their devotion to Jesus Nazareno.
To ensure the smooth flow of the event, members of the Hijos del Nazareno are providing assistance to the devotees.
Totoy Tan, chairman of the Hijos del Nazareno Central, mentioned that they expect around 2,000 to 3,000 replicas to be blessed during the activity.
Meanwhile, PLt. Col. Alejandro Gutierrez stated that more than 300 police officers will be deployed to ensure security and maintain order throughout the event.
