The creatives and production team of the noontime show E.A.T apologized to the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) over the "lubid" word uttered by one of its hosts, Joey de Leon.
The apologies were enclosed in a formal letter dated September 25 and addressed to MTRCB chairperson Maria 'Lala' Sotto-Antonio.
According to E.A.T production, the 76-year-old host uttered a "lubid" word "without further actions, elaborations, demonstrations."
"However, some interpreted the utterance of the said object to be an insinuation of suicide, which is a very sensitive and triggering subject," it said.
"In this regard, the whole E.A.T management is regretful and apologetic to those who were offended by the said utterance," the E.A.T production added.
It then assured the movie board that it is committed to "advocating a responsible viewing experience" for its audience.

Last Monday, the MTRCB said it is set to review the complaints against the noontime show.
During the E.A.T's "Gimme 5" segment aired last Saturday, September 23, a male contestant was asked to give five objects that can be worn on a person's neck within 45 seconds. But the contestant only named one object which was a necklace.
Joey then said that the male contestant should have mentioned "lubid" or "rope".
"Lubid! Lubid! Nakakalimutan n'yo, lubid," the veteran host said.
The video clip of the episode went viral on X (formerly Twitter), with many netizens irked by the answer.
