DZRH comes out victorious as the Radio Station of the Year at the 12th Makatao Awards for Media Excellence on Wednesday, August 28.

The Makatao Awards highlighted mass media’s role in shaping public perception through the dissemination of information. Through the ceremony, the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) honors media practitioners for their truthful and unbiased news updates amid the technological advancements and daily challenges they face.

Several categories were critiqued for this year’s Makatao Awards namely; Television, Radio, Newspaper, Organization, Online Broadcast, and Social Media Platforms. Along with the recognition as Radio Station of the Year, DZRH also received three more awards from the ceremony.

Recognized as the Best Radio Public Affairs Program, is Operation Tulong hosted by Ms. Mae Binauhan.

Dr. Cesar Chavez was also awarded as the Radio Public Affairs Program Host for his weekend program, Special On Saturday (SOS).

The PMAP hosted the event at Hilton Hotel Manila on Wednesday, August 28, along with the 698th General Membership Meeting.
