Manila Broadcasting Company’s (MBC) Flagship AM radio station DZRH emerged as the No. 1 AM station in Mega Manila, according to the latest Kantar Media Radio Studies covering September 13–21, 2025.
Based on the survey, which involved 420 households representing a population of 22.48 million individuals, DZRH ranked first among nine leading AM stations in the Mega Manila area.
Kantar Media used the Radio Diary – CATI (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interview) methodology to collect data, providing insights into listening behavior and audience reach.
According to the study, 57% of the Mega Manila population—or about 12.94 million people—tuned in to AM radio during the survey week.
On average, radio listeners spent three hours a day or 20 hours per week listening to their favorite programs, typically across 1.2 sessions per day, with each session lasting about 2.4 hours.
The study also noted that 33% of AM radio listeners are aged 50 and above, highlighting radio’s enduring appeal among older audiences despite the rise of digital platforms.
DZRH’s continued dominance in the Mega Manila ratings underscores its strong audience loyalty and its role as a trusted source of news, public affairs, and entertainment in Philippine broadcasting.
