DZRH continues to prove that it is a home of exceptional broadcasters!
The Public Attorney's Office (PAO) awarded "Outstanding Broadcaster" to four DZRH anchors, “Lakay” Deo Macalma, Anthony Taberna, Gerry Baja, and Angelo Palmones.
The award was conferred during PAO’s 5th National Convention of the Rank & File Employees held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City from Oct. 9 to Oct. 11.
PAO regarded the four veteran radio broadcasters as among the “Kabalikat at Kapangyarihan ng Katarungan laban sa Kahirapan” or “Pillar and Power of Justice Against Poverty”.
With an elated heart, Macalma expressed his gratitude for the recognition.
“Maraming salamat Public Attorney's Office sa muling pagkilala bilang Outstanding Broadcaster. Mabuhay!” he said.
Macalma hosts “Damdaming Bayan” — one of DZRH’s longest-running radio programs that delivers not only relevant and timely news but also commentaries. He also hosts "Breaktime" an afternoon program from Mondays to Fridays.
Taberna and Baja, the two “kumbachero ng bayan”, are hosting “Dos Por Dos” which airs from 6 AM to 8 AM, from Mondays to Fridays.
Palmones is the host of “Magandang Umaga Pilipinas” an early morning newscast of DZRH.
In October last year, PAO first bestowed the "Outstanding Broadcaster" title to Macalma, Palmones, Baja, and Taberna during its 7th MCLE-Accredited National Convention.
Congratulations to DZRH’s four outstanding radio broadcasters!
