DZRH's very own anchor Mae Binauhan, also called as the station's Wonderwoman, was honored at the 20th Gawad Tanglaw held at Manuel L. Quezon University in Quezon City last Saturday, Oct. 7.
Binauhan received the Gawad Professor Teresita C. Bacalso para sa Sining at Kultura ng Radyo award.
In a Facebook post, the DZRH Wonderwoman thanked the individuals who are behind Gawad Tanglaw, or Gawad Tagapuring Mga Akademisyan ng Aninong Gumagalaw.
"Maraming salamat po sa pagpili sa inyong lingkod bilang recipient ng Gawad Professor Teresita C. Bacalso para sa Sining ng Radyo," she said.
"Isa na namang inspirasyon para po sa tuluy - tuloy na pagbabalita, tuluy tuloy na serbisyo para sa Pilipino!" she added.
Binauhan is the host of DZRH Operation Tulong, a morning radio program that is anchored in the crede of "Serbisyong Bayan".
The DZRH wonderwoman also hosts the afternoon program, DZRH Public Service Hour.
Under the helm of Binauhan, the DZRH Operation Tulong and Public Service Hour relentlessly provide assistance and public service to Filipinos who are in need.
These programs also reach out to Filipinos in times of crisis such as typhoons and earthquakes.
In August this year, Binauhan was honored with the Apostle Arsenio Ferriol Excellence Award for Humanities and Philanthropy at the 50th Founding Anniversary Gawad Parangal night of Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (PMCC 4th Watch).
