A total of 14 road sections in Quezon, Makati, and Pasig are scheduled for repair starting from 11 pm on Friday, Aug. 26 until Aug. 29, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported.
In an advisory released on Friday, DPWH advised travelers that the road construction will cause traffic over the long weekend.
It encouraged the motorists to take alternate routes.
DPWH said the affected roadways will reopen on Tuesday, Aug 30, at 5 am.
The four segments along EDSA Northbound, Quezon City that will continue for rehabilitation are as follows:
- Along Santolan MRT Station, bus lane
- After P. Tuazon flyover to Aurora Tunnel, 3rd lane from the center island (fast lane)
- After Aurora Boulevard to New York Street, 3rd lane from the center island (intermittent section)
- After Kamuning Road and Kamias Road to JAC Liner Bus Station, beside the center island
In the EDSA Southbound, Quezon City the affected lanes are:
- In front of the GMA Network Building, the U-turn slot service road
- Kamuning Road intersection, 3rd block service road
- In front of Kamuning Police Station 10, 2nd block service road
- From Balingasa Creek to Oliveros Footbridge, still in Quezon City
Other affected QC road sections include:
- Fairview Avenue Southbound, from Fleur de Lis Street to Labayane Street, 1st lane from the center island
- Cloverleaf Northbound, from EDSA to NLEX segment, outer lane
- Roosevelt Avenue near corner EDSA, outer lane
In Pasig City, the lanes affected are:
- C-5, the service road in front of the Global oil gas Station
- Road portion corner C.P. Garcia Avenue after the intersection, 2nd block from the center island in Quezon City
While the southbound second lane in Makati City will be closed for reblocking.
