Vice President Sara Duterte has sent a message of goodwill to the Muslim community as they celebrate Eid'l Fitr, the festival that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.&nbsp;
In her statement, Duterte called for prayers for harmony, unity, and success for everyone, and emphasized the values of love, kindness, respect, faithfulness, and peace.&nbsp;
The vice president also expressed empathy for those facing challenges around the world and urged everyone to be compassionate to the plight of others.
"I hope we put into practice the learning and insights we gained from introspection and pray for continued guidance as we strengthen our connection with Allah. I pray that our thoughts are filled with peace and joy even as we sympathize with our brothers and sisters in other parts of the world who might need help and deliverance from trials and sufferings," she said.

The Grand Mufti of the Bangsamoro, Abuhuraira Udasan, announced that Eid'l Fitr would be <a href="https://www.dzrh.com.ph/post/eid'l-fitr-moved" target="_blank" rel="noopener">celebrated</a> on Saturday, April 22, based on the traditional moon-sighting activity.&nbsp;
Eid'l Fitr is one of the most important occasions in Islam, and Muslims around the world celebrate it with prayers, feasts, and acts of charity.
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has <a href="https://www.dzrh.com.ph/post/april-21-holiday" target="_blank" rel="noopener">declared</a> April 21, 2023, as a regular holiday in observance of Eid al-Fitr.&nbsp;
