On December 18, Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers made an appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, where they offered fans a playful tease about the series’ ending.
During the interview, the filmmakers looked back on the early days of the hit Netflix series—from pitching the concept to production companies, selecting actors for the characters, and designing the show’s iconic monsters—to its rise as one of Netflix’s most successful originals.
At one point on the show, the Duffer Brothers were seen arranging Stranger Things Funko Pop figures in a way that appeared to mirror the show’s final scenes. Notably, Steve Harrington—one of the crowd’s favorite characters—was positioned at the edge, seemingly on the verge of falling, sparking speculation among fans.
The duo also briefly flashed what appeared to be a never-before-seen spoiler connected to Volume 2 of Season 5, exclusive to The Tonight Show audience.
Volume 2 of Stranger Things Season 5 is set to premiere on Christmas Day, with the series finale scheduled to air on New Year’s Eve.
