MANILA – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is set to hold the Tatak Pinoy: OBRA MIMAROPA, featuring the region’s diverse products and talents.

The event is slated on October 24-27 and will take place at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City, the DTI said in its news release.

More than 50 micro, small an medium enterprises (MSME’s) from Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan will join the event and will offer a wide array of locally made products, including handicrafts, food, fashion, lifestyle, eco-friendly goods, health and wellness products, and many more, according to the DTI.

The trade show will also feature a series of creative talks led by experts from the film, music, art, and fashion industries, and promises a rich cultural experience with performances representing the five provinces within MIMAROPA.

Such activities can give valuable insights to the participants, as well as information on Halal certification, responsible seafood sourcing, and market opportunities for coconut industry players, as well as a seminar for food safety to “further equip entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders with essential business knowledge,” the DTI explained.

“We are driven by the passion and commitment of our entrepreneurs and artists. The Tatak Pinoy: OBRA MIMAROPA aims to connect and unite them, fostering a sustainable creative industry,” says DTI MIMAROPA Regional Director Rodolfo Mariposque.

The event is a revival of the MIMAROPA Naturally Agri Trade and Tourism Fair, held annually from 2015 to 2019, DTI stated.

The trade fair is a collaborative effort spearheaded by government agencies from the MIMAROPA region, including the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc.; the Department of Tourism and Agriculture; and the provincial government units of Romblon, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Palawan, DTI added.
