Angel Galang, a queen from the third season of Drag Race Philippines, made her mark at the Queen of Quiapo 2026 pageant after finishing as fourth runner-up and winning several major awards among 74 LGBTQIA+ contestants.

The annual beauty pageant was held in Quiapo in celebration of the Feast of Jesus Nazareno, serving as a tribute and expression of devotion to the revered image.

Galang stood out during the competition, earning special awards including “Best in Costume,” “Best in Evening Gown,” and “Best in Denim Attire.” She was also crowned “Queen of Quiapo Tourism 2026,” marking one of the night’s most notable wins.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Galang shared, “Sa totoong buhay lang, gusto ko lang talagang ma-experience sumali, pero pinadama sakin ng Quiapo kung ano ang pakiramdam ng manalo. Hanggang ngayon, hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala sa suportang ibinigay niyo sakin.”

The drag artist revealed that Queen of Quiapo was her first major beauty pageant, a longtime dream she finally fulfilled. She shared that the experience felt like a victory in itself because of the overwhelming support she received.

She also extended her gratitude in another post, saying, “Maraming salamat sa aking team, drag sisters and mother, co-candidates, judges, supporters, at kay Poong Nazareno. Salamat din kay mama @patrick_isorena at daddy @leoalmodal sa aking mga looks.

Sa pamilya ko at sa kuya kong si @maxieandreison , salamat sa walang sawang paniniwala.”

Angel and her brother, Jayvhot “Maxie Andreison,” were born and raised in San Andres Bukid, Manila. Maxie also served as her makeup artist during the pageant.
