Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon has dismissed three engineers from the Pampanga 2nd District Engineering Office following allegations that they demanded up to eight percent in kickbacks from district contracts.
The fired officials include Maintenance Section Chief Ronilo Magtoto and Construction Section Engineers Arnold Domingo and Jefferson Guinto. Dizon emphasized that the agency strictly implements a one-strike policy, which mandates the immediate removal of officials implicated in corruption.
The three engineers will undergo formal investigation, and appropriate legal charges will be filed if the allegations are substantiated. The move aims to reinforce transparency and accountability in public infrastructure projects.
DPWH officials reiterated their commitment to upholding integrity in project implementation, ensuring that public funds are protected from corrupt practices while maintaining quality and efficiency in infrastructure development.
