Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon announced that he will sign the dismissal orders of Engineers Brice Hernandez and JP Mendoza, officials allegedly involved in anomalous flood control projects.
Today, I was informed na ready na rin yung magiging order of dismissal ni Hernandez at ni Mendoza,” Dizon told the public during a press conference on Friday, September 12.
The DPWH chief assured the public that once the dismissal papers are signed, the documents will be released and transmitted immediately.
Earlier, Dizon confirmed the dismissal of another DPWH official, District Engineer Henry Alcantara, as part of the agency’s intensified purge against corruption in infrastructure projects.
The dismissals come amid ongoing investigations into alleged ghost projects and irregularities in flood control programs amounting to billions of pesos.
