Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon ordered the suspension of all ongoing bidding for locally funded projects, on Tuesday, September 3.

“I have ordered today to pause all the ongoing bidding of locally funded projects. All DPWH locally funded projects. Foreign assisted projects will continue,” Dizon announced during the Department of Transportation (DOTr) turnover ceremony.

The DPWH chief said the suspension will allow the agency to review and reassess its procurement process to ensure transparency and accountability.

“Kasi kailanagan muna naming ireview at aralin based on the president directive to clean house,” he added.

Foreign-assisted projects, including those with funding from international development partners, will not be affected by the suspension.
