The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Wednesday, Dec. 13, reminded operators and drivers of public utility vehicles (PUV) under the modernization program to submit the documents needed in their petition for consolidation.

“Mariing ipinapaalala ng DOTr, kasama na ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) at Office of Transportation Cooperatives (OTC), sa lahat ng driver at operator ng mga pampublikong sasakyan na sakop ng Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP), na mag-sumite ng mga sumusunod na dokumento para sa kanilang petition for consolidation,” DOTr’s statement reads.

The documents drivers and operators need to secure are as follows:

• Latest LTO [Land Transportation Office] Official Receipt at Certificate of Registration;

• SEC Certificate of Registration/Certification (Para sa Korporasyon) o CDA Registration/OTC Certification (Para sa Kooperatiba);

• Affidavit of Conformity na nagsasaad na pumapayag ang individual operator na isama sa kooperatiba o korporasyon ang kanyang prangkisa at unit.

DOTr said it understands the concerns of drivers and operators regarding the upcoming consolidation deadline, and assured that LTFRB and the LTO would set up priority lanes to those who would apply for consolidation.

“Ang DOTr, LTFRB, at OTC ay mananatiling bukas at handa upang magbigay ng kinakailangang assistance o tulong upang mas mapagaan at mapabilis ang proseso ng consolidation para sa lahat ng driver at operator sa ilalim ng PUVMP,” it furthered.
