The Department of Transportation's Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (DOTr-SAICT) intercepted buses carrying overloaded passengers amid rush hour in Parañaque City on Monday, February 5.
According to Christian Maño's report, this is to intercept and arrest some reprehensible public utility vehicles (PUVs) from Southern Metro Manila and Cavite.

The operation started from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and at least 15 vehicles were caught due to various violations.
Among the caught PUVs were those who undertook illegal loading and unloading, including overcapacity vehicles where some passengers were standing up to the stairs and blocking the side mirror, which is said to be very dangerous.
Meanwhile, several passengers complained, saying that the operation was "perversion" (perwisyo) because they were late for work and would miss their wages.
The DOTr-SAICT said they were only doing their job for the safety of the passengers.
