The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Thursday imposed a two-day inspection on bus terminals for the holiday exodus that will begin on Friday.
On Thursday, the DOTr Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT) posted a video that showed their inspection of bus terminals in Metro Manila on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The agency checked the bus units, terminal lines, offices, bags, and bus permit-related documents as part of the inspection and also conducted run-throughs on screening passenger bags.
Since it is already peak season, the DOTr implemented “Oplan Biyaheng Ayos Pasko 2023” for the safety of passengers on air, land, and sea.
In a televised interview, the Victory Liner terminal manager mentioned that there are additional buses as they are expecting a flock of passengers tomorrow, Friday.
Posted on its social media platform X, the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) stated that the traffic volume in the freeway ranges from light to heavy, saying that it has deployed more patrol teams that will manage the traffic situations in its toll plazas and interchanges.
