The Department of Tourism (DOT) will launch an "enhanced tourism slogan", replacing the "It's more fun in the Philippines", in the next few weeks.

This was announced by DOT Secretary Christina Frasco in a press briefing at Malacañang on Tuesday, May 16, after President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. approved the department's National Tourism Development Plan (NTDP) 2023-2028.

"The main change, first of all, is that the focus of the Department of Tourism will be to highlight the heart and soul of the Filipino that is evident in our festivals, foods, local products of our small and medium enterprises, our living cultural heritage, everything that makes us diverse, unique, and a proud Filipino people," she said.

Frasco assured that the new slogan will be approved by tourism stakeholders.

"We are putting forth the best of the best of the Philippines to the world because it cannot be denied that we do give the world the best," she said, adding that this "enhanced tourism slogan" will "surely" be loved by the general public.

The tourism department launched "It's more fun in the Philippines" as the country's brand in 2012 under the administration of former president Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino III.

In 2021, DOT launched "More Fun Awaits" campaign in a bid to strengthen the country's tourism amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
