Investigations have proved that the Office of Transportation Security (OTS) screener has been found guilty of stealing and swallowing $300 from a Chinese national traveler at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

According to Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, it cannot be denied that the crime happened based on the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage on September 8.

Bautista told the reporters on Tuesday that the female screener claimed in her affidavit that she was eating chocolate; however, the investigators found her guilty.

The secretary said that before the female OTS screener swallowed the $300 bills, the CCTV also captured the scene of how she stole the money from the passenger.

Moreover, Bautista confirmed that the OTS screener, as well as her three accomplices, are facing administrative and criminal complaints.
