One of the two victims in the bus shooting in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija had received threats before the incident, according to Carranglan Chief of Police PMaj. Rey Ian Agliam on Thursday, Nov. 16.
In an interview during DZRH Dos Por Dos, Agliam said the affidavits of the sister of the victim Gloria Antilano stated that the latter had received threat to her life.
“Meron tinutumbok ang kaniyang affidavit. Meron daw natanggap na pagbabanta sa kapatid niya. Ayun yung titingnan natin [kung sino],” he said.

Agliam said that they are still probing if the threat is related to the criminal cases filed by Gloria in Cauayan City.
“Base sa aming investigation, merong kinasuhan ang ating biktima na babae doon sa Cauayan, carnapping at saka robbery,” he said.
The Carranglan Chief of Police said they are looking at this angle as a possible motive in the crime.
Agliam said they believe that the two gunmen were "hired" and that they have an accomplice.
“Baka merong nagmamanman mula sa Cauayan kasi yung mga suspect ay sumakay ng Bayombong, Nueva Viscaya,” he said.
Based on the initial investigation by the Carranglan Police, Gloria and her live-in-partner went to Cauayan City to attend a hearing on her complaint on Wednesday, Nov. 15.
While they were onboard a bus traveling to Tarlac province, two unidentified gunmen shot them in Brgy. Minuli, Carangalan, Nueva Ecija.
The investigation into the brutal shooting is still underway, according to the Carrangalan Chief of Police.
