Social media influencer and actress Donnalyn Bartolome has, once again, earned the ire of the netizens over her recent post about retunring to work after the holiday season.
In her Facebook account, Donnalyn questioned people who are complaining about going back to work.
"Bakit may sad dahil back to work na? Diba dapat masaya ka kasi may chance ka na pagandahin buhay mo at ng pamilya? Trip ko pa nga may work ng January 1 dahil superstition ko may work ako buong taon pag ganun," she wrote.
"Dapat grateful kasi may work. If work makes you unhappy, I hope you find a job that will. 'Yung pakikiligin ka and sheet. Anyway, this is just a reminder that having a job is a blessing bessss change mindset, it’s 2023!!" she added.
This did not sit well with netizens, who called her post as "insenstive" and promotes "toxic positivity."
"Donnalyn is dumb and insensitive. Remind yourself to speak outside the privileged point of view and be aware of the intersectionality," user @iamrryldadarryl said on Twitter.
Others called Donnalyn being “privileged” and “out of touch with the plight of everyday Filipinos.”
“So-called ‘influencers’ like Donnalyn Bartolome [are] the kind of person that [obviously] out of touch with the plight of everyday Filipinos. Although I don’t totally disagree with her opinions, her sentiments are coming from a place of privilege and sadly came out as toxic positivity,”@joshuaceefox wrote.
As of writing, the post is still up on her Facebook page.
Here are some of the reactions to Donnalyn's post.

In 2022, Donnalyn was called out by netizens, not just once but twice.
First, in July, when she shared photos from her birthday shoot where she was acting out like a baby in diapers, wearing a bib as her only top, and dressed in a onesie while sucking suggestively from a milk bottle.
Netizens were quick to call out Bartolome and pointed out that said concept is "disturbing" and "enabling pedophilic culture." She then apologized for it, saying it was an honest mistake.
A month after, she became the talk of the town again for her alleged "poverty porn" theme inclined with her kanto-style birthday party that was attended by some of her vlogger friends.
In a 34-minute video uploaded on her YouTube account, Donnalyn was seen having fun celebrating her birthday last July 9 with friends that include fellow celebrities like Richard Juan, Paul Salas, Mikee Quintos, and Awra Briguela, and social media personalities Zeinab Harake and Jelai Andres.
The video could have been a regular yet special upload, but some netizens took offense and called the vlogger "privileged" and "out of touch."
