Donald Trump declared his victory in the United States presidential election as he led Kamala Harris in the projected Electoral votes.
"I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th President and your 45th President," Trump told supporters at the West Palm Beach, Florida, Convention Center on Wednesday.
In his speech, Trump promised to fight for every American, vowing not to rest until he has delivered a safe and prosperous America that the people deserve.
"This will truly be the golden age of America," he added proudly.
Trump further stated that his declared victory is a remarkable win for the American people, one that will enable them to "make America great again."
Meanwhile, Trump praised Tesla CEO Elon Musk for his support in the campaign, which included the formation of a political action committee, America PAC, to back him.
Recounting the recent incident involving an alleged assassination attempt against him, Trump stated that his life was spared for a reason—to save the country and restore it.
As of writing, neither Trump nor Harris has secured the 270 Electoral College votes required to win the presidential seat.
As of 4:30 PM (PH Standard Time), the Democratic candidate is just four Electoral College votes short of the required 270, with Harris holding 219 votes and Trump leading with 266.
