Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus 'Crispin 'Boying' Remulla on Monday, Oct. 3, said they are eyeing to file charges against three vloggers who interviewed fugitive former Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) director general Gerald Bantag.
In a press briefing, Remulla said they learned that the three unidentified vloggers met and interviewed Bantag a few days ago.
Bantag is facing murder charges for the brutal murders of late radio broadcaster Percival Mabasa or also known as Percy Lapid and alleged middleman Bilibid inmate Cristito ‘Jun’ Villamor.
The Regional Trial Courts of Las Piñas and Muntinlupa have respectively issued an arrest warrant against Bantag, former BuCor Deputy Officer Ricardo Zulueta, and several Bilibid inmates in March this year.
According to Remulla, the three unidentified vloggers' recent move is an obstruction of justice.
The DOJ Secretary, meanwhile, maintained that they are not stopping until the former BuCor Chief is arrested.
The justice department earlier offered a ₱3 million reward money for informats who can provide “credible information” that will lead to the arrest of Bantag and Zulueta.
The two former BuCor officials are presently banned from departing the country.
