DOJ to request the transfer of Alice Guo’s Tarlac case to Metro Manila to avoid 'bias'

The Department of Justice (DOJ) plans to transfer the case of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo from Tarlac to Metro Manila to avoid 'bias'.

Justice Secretary Boying Remulla stated on DZRH Executive Session yesterday that the case will be transferred to avoid bias stemming from Guo’s influence in Tarlac.

“Para walang air of bias," he added.

Remulla further stated that the case being heard at the Capas Regional Trial Court (RTC) is very convenient for Guo.

He said that once the case is moved to Metro Manila, there are intentions to hold Guo at a detention facility in the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
