The Department of Justice (DOJ) released a “streamlined” guide to legal writing for clients to consult, to give way to better understanding and a smoother implementation of justice.
Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla led the launch of the Manual of Writing Style, with the aim to institutionalize legal writing and communications. The manual covers form, style, and a collection of principles.
“It is high time that we take the lead in establishing and implementing universally accepted principles in legal writing which provides ease and convenience in the efficient administration of justice for the benefit of the general public,” Remulla stated.
“Attuned to the present times, this Manual will serve as a blueprint on legal writing, style and other formal correspondence,” he added.
