The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) official who recruited the three “sexy” dancers in the agency’s command conference has been identified, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin ‘Boying’ Remulla said on Monday.
“I have the identity of the person already, the one who was spoken to offer the entertainment services,” he told reporters in a press conference.
When asked about the ranking of the official, Remulla declined to reveal.
“That will come in. Alam niyo naman we will not protect anybody,” he noted.
Remulla said the NBI official attempted to personally explain himself, but he required the latter to explain in the form of a letter.
According to the DOJ chief, the NBI official also hired talented singers to entertain NBI agents and officials aside from the provocative dancing.
But he said the entertainers were not paid.
“I was able to ascertain that. There was no payment made. These are voluntary contributions to an affair of old men who thought they were adolescence,” Remulla added.
The DOJ Chief considered the viral video a “disgrace”.
“Hindi namin gusto ang nangyari, marahil tingnan natin ang kultura nating mga Pilipino, sana sa noontime show, tigil na ang pagsasayaw,” he added.
Earlier this month, a video of a woman, wearing a Bralette and shorts, performing a dance routine in front of NBI officials and agents at the Diamond Hotel Manila on June 29 surfaced on social media.
Last Saturday, NBI Director Menardo de Lemos apologized for the incident, and assured that an investigation would be conducted to identify those responsible.
