The Health Technology Assessment Council (HTAC) still has no recommendation for the 2nd booster shot for senior citizens and health workers, according to Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.
The HTAC is still continuing its studies on said fourth dose vaccination of the two vulnerable sectors.
The Department of Health (DOH) is hoping for the release of the recommendation of the HTAC next week if not this week.
Previously, the Food and Drug Administration approved the 2nd dose for senior citizens and health care workers. However, the HTAC still needs to study the data of the said fourth dose vaccination on the said sectors.
The study started last week with data from the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention and from the World Health Organization.
The government previously rolled out the 2nd booster vaccination for immunocompromised individuals.
