The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 3,617 new cases of COVID-19 cases on Saturday, January 1, 2022.
Meanwhile, there have been 468 who recovered and 43 who passed away.
In the total amount of 2,847, 486 COVID-19 cases 0.6% or 17, 374 are active cases which 673 are asymptomatic, 11, 603 are mild, 3, 124 are moderate, 1, 635 are severe, and 339 are critical.
The recoveries increase to 2, 778, 567 with the additional 468 new recoveries.
The death toll caused by COVID-19 also increases by 43 now with a total of 51, 545.
According to the latest report, two laboratories were not operational on December 30, 2021, while there are six laboratories that did not submit any data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS).
The public is being reminded to not be complacent on the threat of the COVID-19. We should continue to adhere to the minimum public health standards and to always were our face masks, practice physical distancing, and always wash our hands.
