DOH logs 153 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health (DOH) has logged an additional 153 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, Nov. 8, increasing the total number of cases nationwide to 4,121,129.

Based on DOH's latest bulletin, the number of active cases increased marginally to 2,792.

Meanwhile, the number of deaths remained at 66,746 and recoveries increased to 4,051,591.

During the preceding 14 days, 601 incidents were reported in the National Capital Region (NCR), with 284 cases in Calabarzon, 192 in Central Luzon, 100 in Davao Region, and 89 in Soccsksargen.

NCR still holds the most cases with 1,319,616, followed by CALABARZON with 735,490 and Central Luzon with 406,544.

On Tuesday, 2,049 people nationwide took COVID-19 tests.

The country's bed occupancy rate was 17%.
