The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday, January 9, belied claims that it is affiliated with the Facebook page claiming to be a Malasakit Center Loan Assitance.

In an advisory posted on its official Facebook page, DOH said the Facebook page was "fake".

"The Department of Health (DOH) cautions the public against a Facebook page maliciously using the Malasakit Program Office's false loan centers," it said.

"The said page is FAKE, and it is not in any way or form affiliated with the Malasakit Center," the health department added.

DOH warned the admin of the fake Facebook page that they might face possible criminal charges if they continue to post fraudulent information.

The agency urged the public to rely only on the announcement posted on its official Facebook page, X account, and official website.

Malasakit Program Office, whose mandate is to oversee, monitor, and evaluate the operations of Malasakit Centers, is under the helm of the DOH.
