The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on Monday, Oct. 2, said it is probing the death of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) based in Saudi Arabia.
In a statement, the agency said its Migrant Workers Office in Al-Khobar Saudi Arabia (MWO-Al Khobar) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) are coordinating with the Philippine Embassy and Saudi Arabia police authorities on the OFW named Marjorette Garcia.
"The DMW extends its deepest condolences to the family to the family and loved ones of OFW Majorette," DMW said.
The agency said the remains of Garcia will be repatriated to the country as soon as possible.
"We assure them of our continuing support during their time of grief and in the ongoing investigation," DMW furthered.
