Have you ever wondered how many wonders can one album hold?
Disney Music just dropped its ‘A Whole New Sound’ album last September 6, reimagining all-time favorite Disney classics with a pop-punk twist.
The album drop was first hinted in the middle of July, uploading snippets of the recorded covers of Simple Plan and Magnolia Park on TikTok. With the newly released album, pop-punk pioneers and alternative rock sensations take the center stage, and give each Disney classic a whole new voice and atmosphere.
“A Whole New Sound is a love letter to the pop-punk fans which blends the energetic spirit of the genre with the timeless nostalgia of Disney classics,” Director for Brand Marketing, The Walt Disney Company Tim Pennoyer remarked.
For its first single, Simple Plan's rendition of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” was released on YouTube and Spotify. It was followed by Magnolia Park's “I2I,” before its most anticipated release on September 6.
The album tracklist is now available to stream on Spotify, Apple music, and more.
Additionally, music videos for a few of the covers were also uploaded in Disney Music's official YouTube account.
