President of Alpha & Omega Gen. Contractor & Development Corp., Sarah Discaya, admitted to owning 28 luxury cars, but firmly denied using public funds to acquire them during the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on flood-control projects anomaly on Monday, September 1, 2025.
According to Discaya, she admitted that she has 28 high-end cars including the Range Rover Autobiography, Range Rover Defender, Range Rover Evoque, Mercedes Benz Maybach, Mercedes Benz-AMG Wagon G63, Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon Denali, Bentley Bentayga, Chevrolet Suburban, and Rolls Royce Cullinan that she bought from Frebel Bell Enterprises and Autoart Luxury Cars in the Philippines, denying that they were imported.
The contractor also emphasized that she did not buy the cars with tax money, but their own.
When Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada asked why they owned so many cars, Discaya responded that her four children also use the vehicles regularly.
Discaya also initially denied any involvement in bid rigging, but later admitted that several of her companies participated in the same bidding procedures, "Si Alpha and Omega at St. Gerrard, hindi po sila sumasali sa isang bidding. Pero 'yung ibang licenses, magkakasama sila minsan,"
Discaya earlier confirmed that she owns nine construction companies, which Alpha and Omega bid for 491 flood control projects, but only 71 were awarded to the said company.
Additionally, Senator Risa Hontiveros questioned Discaya over discrepancies in her past statements, noting that she previously claimed to own up to 40 cars in a viral interview with Korina Sanchez and Julius Babao.
Discaya clarified that the count reached 40 because it included service vehicles registered under the company’s name and used by their employees. However, she said their family personally owns only 28 cars.
It may be recalled that one of the car dealerships from which Discaya bought luxury cars was previously linked to a smuggling case involving two Bugatti Chiron sports cars brought illegally into the Philippines.
“‘Yung sinabi niya na Frebel Enterprises, ito ‘yung china-charge ng BOC, ng smuggled Bugatti. Puro smuggled ang mga sasakyan nito,” shared Minority Leader Tito Sotto III, to which Discaya denied owning a Bugatti.
Moreover, she claimed that her viral statement, which she said her family acquired billions after engaging with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), was taken out of context.
