Dinagyan Festival won the 2024 Tugtog ng Aliwan on Thursday, June 27, at the Cultural Center of the Philippines grounds in Pasay City.
The contingent from Iloilo City delivered an energy-filled performance to bring home the Php 100,000 cash prize and an additional Php 25,000 courtesy of Bingo Plus.
Nine contingents saw action in the drum and lyre competition that kick-started the three-day Aliwan Festival in Pasay City.
Tultugan Festival of Maasin, Iloilo placed second and won Php 50,000, while Meguyaya Festival of Upi, Maguindanao settled for a cash prize worth Php 25,000 after grabbing the final podium spot.
The Aliwan Fiesta continues with the Reyna ng Aliwan Pageant on Friday, June 28, and with the street dance and float competition on Saturday, June 29, at the CCP grounds.
