The Philippine Federation of Local Councils of Women (PFLCW) held its 18th general assembly last June 8 at the Heritage Hotel in Pasay City.
PFLCW president Evelyn Uy said on Wednesday, June 14, that the assembly centered on the importance of digitalization in the current business climate.
"Kung ikaw ay may negosyo, mas mapapadali ang access mo kung ikaw ay well-informed sa digitalization," Uy said during DZRH's DILG sa DZRH Breaktime.
Vice President Sara Duterte, Senator Imee Marcos, and Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin 'Benhur' Abalos Jr. attended the assembly.
Uy explained that the PFLCW seeks to provide connections for female enterpreneurs throughout the Philippines.
"Our main objective is economic empowerment for women. Tinuturuan namin ang mga kababaihan kung paano maging isang independent entrepreneur," Uy said.
"Mayroon kaming mga seminar, tumutulong kami sa marketing ng kanilang mga product especially sa mga micro, and small enterprises," she added.
