Five people were reportedly killed in a diarrhea outbreak in a barangay in Caramoan town, Camarines Sur.

According to the report of the Local Government Unit (LGU) Caramoan, the five recorded deaths are from Barangay Maligaya which has recorded many cases of the disease.

LGU Caramoan said that the residents may have contracted diarrhea due to the impure water source in their barangay and improper toilets.

Meanwhile, the LGU extended financial assistance and medicines to the barangay affected by the diarrhea outbreak.
