

Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Enrique Manalo will co-chair the 5th meeting of the Philippines-India Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation on June 29 in New Delhi, India.
According to a statement issued by the DFA on Monday, the visit is an invitation from India's Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
Manalo would lead a delegation of officials from the DFA, the Department of Finance (DOF), the Philippine Space Agency (PSA), the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), and the Department of Trade and Industry's (DTI) Philippine Overseas Construction Board.
Because of the epidemic, the Philippines hosted the fourth meeting remotely on November 6, 2020.
On June 28, Manalo will deliver the 42nd Sapru Lecture, co-hosted by the Indian Council of World Affairs and the Philippine Foreign Service Institute.
He will also meet with the Observer Research Foundation, Honorary Consular Officials from the Philippines in India and Nepal, and Filipino community leaders.
In 2024, the Philippines and India will mark 75 years of diplomatic relations.
